Written by Scott on Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016Follow @BetCFLA decent week for us last week. We went either 2-2 or 2-1 if you didnt bet Ottawa due to the Alouettes playing Carter.
Game 1 of the week was the Alouettes vs the Redblacks. The Alouettes were 9.5 underdogs and they proved the sportsbooks wrong by winning 43-19. Carter did play and had a huge game catching 5 balls for 126 yards and 2 TDS.
Game 2 was the Stampeders vs the Lions. We went with the Stamps +3 and they didn’t need the points as they came away with the convincing 37-9 win. Mitchell had a great game going 28-38 for 340 yards and 2 scores.
The 3rd game was the Eskimos vs the Argonauts. We took the Argos +3.5 but the Eskies came away with the 46-23 win. Edmonton’s D picked off Kilgore twice to bring his interception total to 9 in 3 games. Reilly rebounded in this game throwing 3 touchdowns after being held without 1 for 2 games.
The final game of the week saw the Roughriders take on the Tiger-Cats. We said we would kick a team when they were down and take the Ticats -10 and Hamilton did just that when they pounded the Riders 53-7. Collaros went off for 381 yards and a career high 5 TDS. This was the Ticats first home win of the season.
Lions vs Redblacks Betting Tips
The Redblacks have lost 3 of their last 4 games but still have top spot in the East. They need to get their game turned around. With Trevor Harris returning from injury for the Redblacks I like their chances in this one. Harris has had a strong year to this point before the injury throwing 9 TDS and only a single interception

Blue Bombers vs Alouettes Betting Tips
Both teams had wins in their last game but for the Bombers it was their 3rd in a row. This should be a good game. But the Bombers 3 game win streak was against some top teams, Eskimos, Tiger-Cats and the Argonauts. I think the momentum and the rest from having a bye week will carry them to a win.

Roughriders vs Eskimos Betting Tips
Much like last week, I think Edmonton will pound the Riders. But with the spread being 14 you have to hope the Eskies put in a performance like the Ticats did. I like the Eskimos to win this game but the 14 points has me worried.

Tiger-Cats vs Stampeders Betting Tips
This game has the potential to be a high scoring one. Last week the Ticats put up 53 points, it was against the Riders so the number is inflated. The Stamps can also score and for a majority of their games this season they seem to score 30+ points.
Calgary is in first place in the league and have won 5 straight so they are more than capable of keeping pace with the Ticats offense in this one.
