Week 6 has just two games. The first game will see the Edmonton Eskimos host the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
In Week 5, the Edmonton Eskimos put up a great game against the Montreal Alouettes but lost 32-27 on the road, while the Hamilton Tiger-Cats became the latest victims of the Roughriders. Saskatchewan walked all over them to a 32-20 victory.
Neither team is doing well this season. Both the Eskimos and the Tiger-Cats have just ONE win out of 5 games. Both have scored 99 points total in the season, the joint lowest, and the Tiger-Cats have conceded the most with 158 points conceded.
Edmonton go into this game at home, having lost their two prior home games. Hamilton meanwhile, have yet to win on the road out of their two games. The Eskimos one win was over the Tiger Cats on the road back in Week 2.
Edmonton Eskimos vs Hamilton Tiger Cats Betting Odds:
The current odds at are:
Point Spread: Tiger-Cats +3, Eskimos -3.
Over/Under: 53.5 points.
This one, in my opinion, is a no-brainer. Take Edmonton Eskimos -3 at and be quick about it – I expect this line to change dramatically prior to gametime.
Let’s get into the analysis:
Edmonton Eskimos vs Hamilton Tiger Cats Betting Tips:
I’ll tell you straight off the bat – I was literally shocked at this line. I expected the over/under to be around 45 points, and the point spread to be more like 7 points.
Eskimos have lost two at home yes – against the BC Lions and the Roughriders. That’s big. Hamiltons only win this season was against the joint bottom team of the East, Winnipeg.
Eskimos will run riot over the Tiger Cats. If anything, Edmonton are extremely unlucky not to go into this one with 2 wins. It was poor time management against the Alouettes. Hamiltons main strength at the moment is in their passing game – 2nd overall in the CFL. Edmontons main weakness? Rushing game. Who has the WORST running game in the CFL at the moment? Why, the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of course.
I just can’t see the TiCats even coming close in this game. As I said – I’m stunned at that line. I thought there was some late injury news I wasn’t aware of – but nope, the TiCats and Eskimos just have a really bad line set – but one that we can take advantage of.
Edmontons fanbase too is aching for a win. I’m surprised they fell flat in Week 1 but they gave more of a fight against the Lions. And the fans know that this is the perfect opportunity for them to pick up the win.
The Edmonton Eskimos WILL take this game – get on that -3 line at now because it is a steal, and the first line of real value in the CFL this season.
