In Week 5 of the CFL, the Montreal Alouettes play host to the Edmonton Eskimos. This is a “battle of the bottom”, with the Eskimos bottom of the West and the Alouettes bottom of the East. The Eskimos position is a lot worse though – they are 4 points behind the Lions and Stampeders, while the Alouettes are on 2 points – the same as both the Tiger Cats and the Blue Bombers.
Last week the Alouettes and Eskimos both had competitive weeks, putting up some big points despite the losses. Montreal lost 27-38 to the Stampeders, while the Eskimos lost 31-21 to the BC Lions. Both games were on the road and while a loss, was a big boost to each others offense.
Neither team has faced each other this season.

Montreal Alouettes vs Edmonton Eskimos Betting Tips:
Despite being arguably the poorest team in the CFL right now, the Eskimos can still put up the points. They’re averaging 18 points per game – and there is a real nasty 3 point game that’s offsetting that average.
Montreal meanwhile – well they’ve had a bad start to the season but they’re also able to put up the points. And S.J. Green is prime for a big game tonight. While this is the matchup of the low scoring teams – this is a great game for the offenses to shine. The Alouettes have lost both their home games and they’ll be doing everything they can to make sure they don’t lose #3.
Edmonton on the road also play a lot more aggressive. This season it’s went over in all of their home games. Putting up 21 points against the BC Lions was impressive and I think they’re good for another 20 points at least here against a worst defense.
A lot of the play is going on Alouettes -6 to cover the point spread. But I think that’s risky – Edmonton on the road have shown they are a strong team. Montreals home record is obviously bad so that is why I’d like to shy away from the point spread.
Go with the over 49 points in this one. Both teams can bring it offensively when they need to, and both teams have something to prove. You can currently get the best odds 1.91 compared to 1.90 elsewhere – at
