It was a hell of a week in the CFL with some tight games including the Lions vs Stampeders game which went to overtime, and the Redblacks vs Argonauts game.

We ended up going 2-2 with the betting tips last week. It started off great on the Thursday with the Eskimos losing to the Blue Bombers. We had Blue Bombers +10 there and the Winnipeg boys pulled off a big upset to come to Edmonton and leave with the surprise victory. That Eskimos rushing game is brutal.

We then made it 2-0 by going with the Alouetts to win. We expected it to be a bit closer than that – Montreal rocked the Roughriders in a 41-3 demolition. What a game that was.

We then had the Stampeders -5.5 and whle Calgary won the game, they couldn’t quite cover the spread. Holy boy did they ever mount a huge comeback in the 4th though that was amazing to see.

Finally the Redblacks let us down with a late win by the Argonauts who had field goal city in that one.

A lot of good games this week. Can the Roughriders turn things around with a miraculous victory over the Stampeders? The Eskimos will close out the week visiting Ottawa, and we’ve got a couple of other good games.

Let’s get to the tips for Week 7 in the CFL 2016 Season:

Tiger Cats at Blue Bombers:

The Blue Bombers go into this home tie as slight underdogs. 4th in the West, they’ll be hoping to follow up their win and make it 2 in a row. They’re also seeking their first home victory.

I’ve got to take Blue Bombers with the points here. 3.5 points is nice to have considering the last time these two played, Winnipeg beat them. The Bombers have momentum on their sides after last weeks win, while Hamilton are coming off a bye. I’m also very curious to see Kris Adams as he could have a busy time – and this is going to be one where I’m taking Winnipeg.

Lions at Alouettes:

The BC Lions go into this one as slight favourites. They’re -2.5 favourites. They’re 2nd in the West with a 2-1-0 Road Record. Montreal are bottom of the East currently.

I felt bad for the Lions against the Stampeders as injuries really hurt them. While most of the players should be back I think they’re going to have a tough time of it here.

On top of that I’m willing to give the Alouettes a chance. The big story going into the Roughriders game was that the Alouettes were going to turn their defense around. Is it too soon to declare it turned around? Of course. But I’m happy to ride them after last weeks performance. Alouettes +2.5.

Roughriders at Stampeders:

This one’s not going to be pretty. I think we’re going to see a better offense from the Roughriders this week. The Stampeders should decimate them but 11 points is a fair amount. Stampeders have covered that spread only twice this season both times against Winnipeg. I’m going to take Roughriders +11 here.

Eskimos at RedBlacks:

The Edmonton Eskimos are 4 point underdogs against the 2017 Grey Cup hosts, Ottawa. The Redblacks and Eskimos are both coming in off the back of tough home losses against the Argonauts and Blue Bombers respectively.

I have to go with Redblacks here. I think the team will be lifted with the Grey Cup announcement and they did quite well despite the Burris issues. Eskimos – man I just don’t rate that defense at all and Ottawa could have a field day with them.
